Rotary International was founded in Chicago Illinois by Paul Harris in 1905 and now has a worldwide membership of 1.2m Rotarians in 30,000 clubs over 200 countries and geographical areas.
The Rotary Club of Southgate was chartered in 1925 and currently has a membership of 15 men and women who meet for lunch every Monday at 12.30pm in a private room at the Jolly Farmers, Enfield Road, Enfield, Middlesex, which is in Greater London, England.
In this site you will find information about our club and Rotary International and details of the many service projects that we carry out each year, both for the local community and internationally.
The club is closely linked to the Inner Wheel Club of Southgate.
The benefits claimed by most Rotarians for their membership of a Rotary Club are "friendship" and the "opportunity to put something back into society".
If you would value the benefit of giving something back to your local community, and would enjoy doing it with a group of dynamic leaders in business and professions, contact us and introduce yourself. Click HERE for more details.
During the year we put on Fund Raising events to support many worthy causes including following charities: Rotary ShelterBox, ActionAid and Vision-Aid, North London Hospice, the Mayor of Enfield's Charity, Rotary KidsOut Day, Enfield Clubhouse and disabled and disadvantaged children.
